Need help on purchasing a Kayak
I am new to kayak fishing and am looking for a kayak to fish the islands and coast. Can anyone help me with ideas for the right kayak. I have been out before on a friends Ocean Kayak but wanted to know what was the best without breaking the bank and giving me the ability to add to the kayak.

1st - I would head over to the Fred Hall fishing tackle show at the Long Beach convention center. Make your way to the OEX Kayak booth. They'll have Malibu and Ocean Kayaks at the best prices of the year.
2nd - Head over to OEX Sunset Beach and talk to Andy 'iceman'. He has a huge selection of new and used fishing kayaks.

I highly recommend to rent several different types and find out whats right for you. Most places will give you rental credit towards the purchase of a new kayak. I've given this advice to 20-25 friends and only one didn't purchase the first kayak he saw.lol Nothing against malibu i own one too.
