I haven't been out much lately but I owe some posts, for sure. This isn't much of a report but it's all I got. I launched at the beach at Cabrillo and fished the kelp bed mostly with a Havoc Papa Pit Boss on a sled head for some VERY slow fishing. I did throw a swim bait for a bit for nothing. Most bites I did get were short and not real aggressive. There was not much water moving and it was sunny and glassy so that probably didn't help. I caught a few, all about like pictured. This one woke me up after about an hour without a bite and came up with 3 or 4 followers. Didn't get a bite the rest of the morning. Beautiful morning on the water, though.

Went out on Saturday, further north. Yep same story. Beautiful weather, no current, not many bites. went 3-6 on calico.
