1st. Butt on the AI
Finally caught my first gaffable fish on the Adventure Island. I've caught some bass and Bonito and tons of bait but nothing big enough to gaff. It's hard to stop sailing sometimes...you just get that "need for speed"!
That thing is a blast to land a fish on...I fought the fish sitting on the starboard trampoline and then gaffed it from that side...super-stable platform and so comfortable. I had the Reliable Kill Bag with ice on the port trampoline...there is so much darn room on this yak...you could take the kitchen sink with you! I was out at Rocky Point this morning then hauled ass back in with the sail when the wind started roaring in the afternoon. It was kinda slow and a real washing machine out at the Point this morning. There were three party boats working the edge of the kelp...that's a long ass paddle/peddle/sail...almost 7 miles from the harbor.

Congratulations on the halibut! That does look like a lot of room on that yak!
