Questions on the Pro Angler 17
How seaworthy is the pro angler 17 in case i am 8 miles out from land and conditions get a bit rough.
I know the Tandem Islander is able to handle it, but i am interested in the PA17t.

I have one, I've been out in some rough conditions about 5 miles out, handles it with no problem.

Thanks, any major upgrades or any strong recommendation if purchasing the PA17, aside from the trailer for So cal waters?

Rail mount tackle box.... Handy, but gets in the way if you hang it on the inside, I do use it though. Rail mount rod holders.... The cord came off two of the three I purchased. The rods are hard to remove when the seats are in, they don't bend very well around the seat. Rail mount FF mount... Nice, you can position it just about anywhere as long as the cord reaches. Rail mount cup holders... Really, never use them. Seat mount fighting cup... nice, especially for the large variety fish, give you some leverage without pinching your jewels. Rail mount pads... These are great for mounting rod holders to, Scotty or Ram. The adjustability is very nice. There is one item I highly recommend but is not from hobie. http://www.tacklewebs.com/hobie-vant...ter-set-2-for/ They work very well (looks like the price went up a little since I bought them though). As for the bait tank I made two, a 26 gallon for when I am solo and a 12 gallon when I have a guest. Both of these are made by Moeller, I used Hobie hardware to mount them like a hobie tank. That about covers it...

Frank, with all due respect are you for real? You flipped inside the harbor about 1.5 miles from the launch, you had to get rescued and had to get your kayak towed back and now you want to fish 8 miles out?
ARE YOU SERIOUS? I'm asking these questions as an individual and not as JORLUIVIL. Sometimes you have to know when enough is enough and ask yourself if the risk is worth the reward. Do you think before you think?
