A sick one or...

There is a guy at J.P.'s Bait and tackle on Balboa that makes some sick ones. Different sizes and real quality. They start around $30.

May i suggest looking at the ones made by Ron baker that we have at Anglers Yak Shack and OEX? They are fiberglass with a Mustad hook. They will last much longer than Calcutta and have no flex for when you gaff a hot fish. And yes, they float. Ron has been working in the fishing industry for 50 years and has over 40 years of experience running commercial and sportfishing boats, These gaffs are made right!

Wasn't the owner of JP's the one making derogatory comments about Kayak Anglers on a message board prior to the Plastic Navy bass tourney.

Something like telling his customers he didn't like the "different" kayakers who drag mud into his store etc.

I wouldn't spend a dime in that cruiser snobs store.

That was NOT J.P's....

It was JD's Big Game Tackle in Newport Harbor

Im gonna stop by today to look at your gaffs. Ive always like bamboo(just what Ive always used, preference). Im open to new ideas for sure. When I was at OEX Pt. Loma I didn't like the gaffs they have. They were all to big for me, to bulky for my liking.
