YT and calico CPR
Was the only one on the water for most of the early morning. ..not even a pb. Caught two nice calicos...One looked just like the toad I posted a few weeks ago...same spot too...released both. Didn't take any photos because I was on a mission to catch a YT.
Then redemption...my first YT... learned so much on BWE the last couple of weeks and put a lot of time on the water. Came along way from a fish breaking my undergunned pole and rod back in January. Have been broke off or spit out many of times since then. My tackle is honed in now along with the knowledge maneuvering these beautiful fish. I kept the YT to feed my family and close neighbors. The kids had a blast cleaning the fish. ...time for a nap I feel exhausted Caught it on my penn jigmaster...i don't have a gaff as I release most of my fish....i just kung fu gripped his mouth with my hand and pulled him in nice and easy. |

Not too bad but I've gotten used to the last couple of weeks of bigger surf. Just charged straight out not caring and had a wave knock my fishfinder off its clamp...just stuck it back on. Knee High actual not backside with no power. Coming in was nice didn't even catch a wave. Talked to one guy heading out who rolled and lost his pole.

It may have been you who recommended the jigmaster when I was trying to get set up a little while ago. ..i love the star drag and simplicity of it. I also have a tiger rod that looks and feels like it could take a beating. Both affordable. ..i just ordered a tld15 that should come in today...never used a lever drag before but I learn fast.
