HOW EVENT February 27th TIDELANDS

Hey all!

We had a super solid turn out of volunteers from a super rad group of dudes (and lady) for the event on the 6th.

We're doing it again, though this time we are making a few more kayaks available for our veterans, now that we see we have an incredible group of fisherman in our community willing to lend a hand!

I'm proud of all that showed, and gave the group of deserving veterans your time, it means more to them than you'll ever know.

For any first timers.... Come on over and hang with us on this next one. We do limit our on the water fishing mentors to those deemed competent by the management team for obvious safety reasons. But come over and let us meet you and give you an opportunity to make a positive impact on your community!

So, again please roger up on here or give me a text/call so we know what we'll be working with to help accommodate our Veteran attendees.

Jay

Jay,

Even though you and Mike plan to be there, I will still volunteer...for the veterans! God bless our military veterans.

Eager to help

Talked to Michael couple days ago about helping with the event. Went home and got the big thumbs up from the better half. I am looking forward to meeting the Heroes and the helpers! See you all Saturday!

I've gotten a lot of inquiries as to when to show up for the event and what it will entail from a lot of first times volunteers. That's great, I'm happy to see MORE and MORE people interested in the SoCal Chapter!

For any lurkers, first timers, or people that think they don't have anything to contribute. You do.

We like to see the majority of our volunteers arrive between 0600-0630. Once we have enough people to offload the trailer, some will help with setting up the grills, table, canopy, etc. Others will help us offload all of the yaks, paddles, PFD's, rods, etc. Then we get an inventory of what we have and what we'll use for that particular event. We stage the yaks on the beach along with the "on the water mentors" kayaks. When the event is over, we do those tasks in reverse order.

Sooooo the more people we have the easier it is on everyone.

If you are on baby duty, or your spouse wanted to "hang out" that day.... Bring them!

Thanks BWE, we'll see you out there!
