Paddle recommendatioons?

My son "airmailed" one of my paddles coming back from LJ (no return address). Looking for a replacement that he could (almost) afford.

I currently paddle an OK Malibu XL II - usually solo - using a two piece aluminum shaft 'Wave'.

Thanks for your consideration.

D.
The COD Tsunami is a comparable paddle to the "Wave" A symmetrical nylon blade, aluminum shaft. They sell for $109. Another one to consider is the Werner Skagit, smaller blade face, touring, fiberglass shaft for $135.

I am a bit of a drive, but Pt Loma will help ya.

I have been using a Camano, carbon fiber bent shaft for almost 2 years and like it alot. I want to try out an Ikilos, foam core, to push a little more water.....$350

Camanos are $255 in fiberglass and $330 in carbon fiber....a little more than the original "Wave"

What shaft length would be an ideal? or does it depends on the paddler size as well? thanks
