How to break in a kayak
My buddy just got his 2015 outback and took it out this weekend. Results were epic.

Damn, I think he could use a PA pulling in slugs like that YFT. One fish plus him and gear = weight capacity. Good on him......jealous.

What fun. Thanks for sharing.
Why am I reminded of the novel---The old man and the sea? I know the angler is not old, but his struggle with the last tuna reminded me of the novel. Waiting for our trip to Gonzaga Bay is getting little too hard. |

What a way to break in a kayak!
Im pretty sure the first time I broke in a kayak was about ten years ago and I hooked a bird near Trinidad Head. Awesome post! |

What is the locals reaction to seeing you go out and come back with your catch?

Usually they're excited to see fish brought in. I'm not sure how they react where he's at though. He's around mainland Japan I've only fished the southern islands.

They were very surprised.... no one catches fish like this from that port. Just a matter of timing and happened to get out when the fish were there. Two get two nice fish in two days.... was pretty awesome.
