La Jolla 8/11
Launched 5:30. No bait at pier. Went due west with Mitch and found perfect size greenies breezing on the surface. Filled the tanks and continued due west. Saw a bird working ahead and then see he is working a paddy. Bait puddling as we troll by and then we are both hooked up. Probably 4 miles out front of scripps pier in 260 ft of water. Mirage drive failed so had to paddle back.........man, I am not into paddling an outback with a hobie paddle. No way I could become a paddler... I am a totally spoiled peddler for sure. Launch and landing were met with ankle slappers.....my kind of water. Back by 11ish and kama cuts are on the barbecue getting smoked. Thanks Greg for watching my gear today. They are out there........just need a little luck.
