Blondes give you crabs! I gotta redhead!
Well after seeing Andy's report, I got inspired and finally went hooping, got off work later than planned which is fairly typical and headed on down to the bay to work the "secret spot" which already had about 4 yakkers and 2 pbr's on it. Dropped the 4 nets I had loaded with mackerel from last sunday and started the wait and pull game! First pull and NADA, sent the nets back down, went back and pulled them up again and LA DI FREEKIN' DA I got my first legal bug!!! Hooped from about 9-12:00 for only the 1 bug and a tug o' war with a knothead!!! Oh well only one, but still a 100% improvement from last year!! This is my soon to be dinner date named "bernadette" she likes butter and walks on hot coals!!!
BT nice chatting with you out there! Matt Last edited by Matt; 10-11-2007 at 09:08 AM. |

Nice meeting ya out there Matt, and congrats on the catch!
I left with just one. I did get a HUGE scuplin that was keeping a sting ray company in my net. I also assisted on reeling in a paddlelol Pulled the nets from around 7 till 11. Only one bug all night, and she just made the cut. It was hard as hell getting up for work this morning at 5 a.m. I had a battle one night last year with the dogs. I almost pulled my shoulder out on one pull where it felt like he wanted to just hang out in my net the entire pull up. heading out Saturday night to pick up some more hopefully, BT
