Sharks n Hali n BSB oh my!
Had some baby sharks (either Mako or GWS) encounters the last couple of weeks. The first one was about 5' and hung around for at least 5 minutes, but never show on the right side of my yak. It would swim right at me from the left side and make a U-turn under me. I guess it was camera shy. When I finally pulled the camera out of the mount to point it on the left side, soon as it hit the water, the shark bugged out. I had seen the shark earlier (first scene of the video), but it got spooked by me or the Dolphin stampede headed its way. A few days later, a much smaller one of maybe 3' hung around for at least 10 minutes. It rubbed and bumped my kayak several times. Guessing that both of them could taste the stressed bait from my overflow, which kept them around? Had one relatively packed underwater video segment from the second day. Followed by last Sunday when the water was much clearer and I threw out all the video as the fish were a no-show.
