Long Road Trip for Redfish?

On my bucket list is to fish for redfish. I was wondering if anyone would be interested in a long road trip or maybe even flying to Texas or Louisiana and renting kayaks there.

There are some reasonable places I have seen on the internet in Louisiana with houses right on the water, mother trips, etc.

I would be up for a long road trip taking our own kayaks but it may not be cost efficient with gas and hotel costs and that long a drive but if we had enough interested maybe it would work.

Anyone that has fished for redfish in a kayak or otherwise in Texas or LA and I don't mean Los Angeles give us some details.

I think catching redfish in the marshes would be a blast.

This seems like a fairly reasonable place in the New Orleans area.

What techniques did you use for them and did you get any bull reds?

I guess you weren't fishing in a kayak.

I told my dad, when I go visit him in Florida, redfish/snook is on the inshore fishing to do list! His main species he targets is snook though.

Too big? Is there a slot limit there?
