Despite my loyalty to my user name inspirations I have two Sealine X 40's, one low speed I use for live bait and squid and one high speed I use for irons. I love them and plan to buy at least one more, maybe two. According to the pro's at Squidco they are low maintenance and durable enough take the kind of beating ( and occasional drenching ) that kayak fishing dishes out. Sure there are "better" reels but these seem like an excellent overall value, I'm happy with them.

I have a couple sealine reels in my collection. They are great reels. A salesmans at Turners said they are going to be around 40% off.

Thanks for the replies guys.
Your input is appreciated. I think I'll pick up at least one.

They're great reels Mike.
Think of it this way…the 20 and the 30 are the same spool diameter, with the 30 being a fraction wider. Same thing with the 40 and the 50. Solid performers, can take a hell of a beating, easily maintained, and very affordable, especially when 40% off retail. I ran them for years before I switched over the lever drags. Now my brother owns them all. I have one Daiwa, a Saltist 40, on my jigstick for surface irons, and that's just because I can cast a star drag much further than I can cast a lever drag, and I run straight mono.

Great reels. Daiwa sealines have been around a long time. Light, cast great, super durable, could use a drag upgrade, but good enough. I would say they are the best bang for the buck, especially when they are on sale.

Gotta agree with everyone, for a kayak reel, you get the most bang for your buck.

That's a good deal for a reel that will get abused on a kayak anyhow...

Picked up an Avet JX 6.0 single speed "Blem" for $199 plus tax. Save $50 for mismatched colors? I'll take that any day. Bought some Rapalas with the money I saved. Preferred the silver, but screw it, it's UCLA Blue/Gold anyways. Go Bruins!
