Dent in bottom

Borrowed the folks hobie tandem to take the nephew out and noticed it has a 1' x 1' dent in the bottom. Took it out and it has quite a list . It it now trash?? If I pop it out is it only safe for knee deep water?? The dent has probably been there for a year or so. Any warrenty for that type of thing??

Try popping it out, If it doesnt want to pop then Turn it upside down and tape a black trashbag over it and let it sit in the sun for a few hours, Then try it again. Should pop right out.

if that doesn't work-- try a hairdryer or better yet a heat gun if you have access to one. Once you warm it up-- it should pop right out. I did this on my 'found' malibu 2. It had a big dent in the bottom. Popped right out and I have been on it with the family (wife and daughter) a few times now.

Place the Yak "Hull Side Up" in the sun for a couple of days.
Be sure to open the drain plug. That should be enough to allow the roto poly to return to normal.

I've seen a flat spot removed from my neighbors Adventure when he left the yak stored on the yak cart inserted in the scuppers.
