Who says the season is over?
So I decided to do a last minute trip out of Dana Wharf(was feeling lazy and didn't want to paddle) so I hopped on the 3/4 day at the last minute with low expectations for any decent fish, just hoped I could stock up on some taco meat. Well stock up on meat I did. Pulled these 2 up from just about 300 feet and the sheephead came on the iron at about 250.

That's what I thought too. Wish I would had a little more time to work that area there has got to be some huge males down there.

Well done Easyday! Just curious, do you think it is a kayak-able distance if you launch from trails or San O?
If so, any interest in giving it a try? |

Getting there is the easy part. Coming back at mid day or later with the wind in your face will kick your butt
