Cabrillo beach
Fished Cabrillo on 9/18 at 5am. It was pitch black me and my friend were the only ones on the beach we kayak to the bait barge from the loading dock. I forget his name who runs the Bait barge but he hook it up with live squid and sardines. We fishes inside the break and soon as we fished god dam it was one right after the other. Halibuts and bass all day long legal and none legal ones the non legal ones we let go back in the water and the legal ones take home. All in all very good day to fish at Cabrillo. Total catch of Halibuts 7 but only 3 legal at 22 1/2 inch, 26 inch and 36 inch. Total catch of calico bass 9 but only 5 where legal size at 15,17, and three 14 inches. The none legal size were release back into the ocean.
