PB YT in LJ 8/28
Well had the day off and hit up LJ. I launched around 0600 to easy surf. I made bait and had 10 nice mackerel. I spend most the day just west of the Hotel in about 130-100ft of water. I don't know what it was today but the seals were all over me. I had 5 bait taken by them and at one point when I was drifting I had a small pup mako swim right by the yak. I could have reached in and grabbed him. I tried to bring in my bait but the pup took it and my circle hook. So after re rigging and feeding the seals some more. I was down to one bait so I headed out to 130ft and send him out on the fly line. I drifted till I was at 100ft and then my reel screams at me. The fight was on. He did his runs and pulled me around some but I came out on top with a PB YT. Came in at 18.04lbs once I got home. Two YT's in two trips I'm liking this.

Way to go on the PB. were the sport boats out there. I think if they seals are not following them they will be more on the small craft. The other day I could not get rid of the seals and the birds were even worse.

Way to muscle him! You can probably get by without the bat on YT though.
