Was hoping to go out fishing this weekend now that have finished riging my kayak. Anyone in the area around LA going out and willing to let me tag along it will be my first time out and being only 16 im still learning stuff.

Check the swell reports before you go, especially for your first time, and especially this weekend. Stick to a bay if you can.

X2 Check the swell.

Don't go out on Monday! its the "last day of summer" and boats will be zipping around.

Long weekend, end of summer = drunks on boats and PWCs. Crowded beaches and high surf can make landing interesting if the lifeguards have not put out the blackball flag before you even get to launch.

I'll be hitting the honey-dos extra hard in hopes of being able to get to the HOW event next weekend

I'm planning on hitting the bays and hopeful that the swells will have minimal impact.

My 2 cents ....

I would be careful out the harbor, too many idiots out there this weekend. If you do go be sure sure to go early and leave early.
