My daughters PB!!

After sitting around all day, the wife and I decided to the kids out to the beach and bring out the yaks. We went out for a ride in the yak, then paddled back in. My son took out the stealth and as I'm getting ready to get on my ride, my 5 yr old daughter says, "Daddy I wanna go fish!" So I put her on the ride and stole a page out of easydays book by using a spider man kids setup. Went put with my daughter for about 15 mins when she says, " Daddy I think I caught one!" She gets startled and pulls on the rod, some how she knew how to set the hook! She couldn't fight the fish so she hands me the rod and I pulled in a 12" spotty. The look on her face was priceless and the joy and excitement she had when showing her mommy her first fish was great!

Keep taking her out and it won't be long before she is out fishing her dad. Congratulations on starting her out right.

That's fantastic, congratulations to her and you. Please don't get caught keeping one that size, all bass now must be 14" minimum (only 5 kept no matter the combination). A ticket would surely dampen your spirits somewhat on an otherwise great day.
