quick SD Bay halibut this morning
Got the 22 ft. Trophy ready to chase tuna tomorrow but had a couple hours this morning before picking up the wife at the airport so I launched the kayak at 6am from Orange Ave in Coronado for a little bay fishing Fast incoming tide made for fast drifts.
Caught a 7 lb halibut in 45 feet of water just before 8am on a Light colored fishtrap with 3/4 oz lead head. Lots of small spotties as usual too Off the water at 815 am. Fresh halibut for dinner. Jimm H
