YOu park right on the beach and can launch right in front of your car. But it's nicer to wheel'er down toward the powerplant a little ways..it's an easier launch that way.

google earth it, lots of pics. looks easy given right conditions. Looks like you'd want to park as far south as you could. |

You are only allowed to launch at the far south end of the State surf beach if you have a paddle craft. Check Surfline.com for the surf forecast for Sat., it looks like mixed swell which could be tough. Generally the best line is to launch at the end of the parking lot and work your way out at a 45 to the South. You can avoid much of the outside swell in the channel between the reefs about 100yds South of the lot.
