Los Alamitos 05/11 - no pics
AirborneYak and I decided to try fishing inside the harbor. I have never fished this area so I was excited to try it out. We got on the water around 7AM and within 30 minutes I got my spottie cherry popped. It was small, but a spottie nonetheless. After that things got slow, really sow. Fished around the harbor for a couple hours and I caught a small Calico. We thought we would head out open water but once we got to the edge of the jetty things looked ugly and windy, so we decided to head back into the harbor. Wind picked up around noon and we started to head back home. On way back I picked up two more calicos. Nothing worth taking pics, actually too lazy to take out the camera. Big thanks to AriborneYak for show me around the harbor.
This was my first time fishing with my new Elite-4 HDI. I need to do some adjustments to it ... I kept picking weird readings. The one cool thing was spotting the fish two of the three calicos were spotted using sonar. I really appreciate you guys insisting that I get the color. It was very clear what was a fish and was not. Fishh Count: Me 3 Calico BH Anchovy 1 Spottie BH Mackeral AirborneYak 1 Lizard (ugly ass things) Frozen anchovy 1 Unknown fish (fought like a biggie) |
