ATT: PONTO SURFERS
Was just out at the beach all afternoon hanging out & checking the surf @ Ponto today and came across some odd findings... In that timeframe, I witnessed a nice young kid 18-20 years old park his red car & load all his surf gear into his girlfriends car. After an hour or 2, this older guy precedes to walk up the coast highway & starts to case out this kids car and try to gain entry from all around. I don’t know if it was his Dad looking for his son, or a typical tweaker who rips off local surfers searching for wallets & keys under bumpers and tires.. I assume the latter.
When he noticed the paparazzi he hi-tailed it outta there… So when I eventually left, he instantly went right back up the hill to that car.. I noticed this in my rear view, and flipped around & shot this car that slid in my previous place.. It pulled away instantly when I came back just 1 minute later from a U-turn...FWIW..

Alright damnit...thanks Wade.
That's my beach, a couple minutes from mi casa. Don't recognize that dude, bet though if I do run across him will ask him what the phook he's doing. Was that his car in the last pic? Can give the license info to a buddy, he can have a buddy of his run the plates and find out who the heck that kook is. Tried getting a look at the hat, no luck. PS - You got a crack in your windshield.

i shoot first, and ask questions later...regardless, it looked pretty bad.. (it wasn't looking like a friend/father verifying if a surfboard confirmed junior was otw) unless he has the worst case of short term memory and had to recheck 100 times.. looked more like can I gain entry. is there a backpack ect I can capitalize on (again)... I've been jacked one too many times and I'm really tired of these crews hitting us all up.. Ya, I earned that beauty from a nice T-Bone @ the shores leaving a session going up De La Playa when a Range Rover floored it through a small gap @ the intersection..POW!

This is a classic heist in del mar/north county area. People sit uphill with binoculars and watch for boards and wetsuits. When they see you are going surfing they look for where you stash your key. The lookout stays at the top of the hill via cell. Happened to me at 11th street. I never leave my keys anymore.

I've sent the pics to a few friends that surf up and down Carlsbad.
Once again thanks for being on the look out.
