Fish Finder
Hi guys! Right now on my kayak I have a Lowrance Elite 4x fish finder. I now own a decent size boat and wanted to know your opinion on a fish finder for it? Im pretty sure I want to stick with lowrance and not sure if I want the GPS mapping or not. But any suggestions will help. I saw a Elite 7 (not sure which elite 7 model) in a boat today and the thing is huge! But seems like a really nice unit but might be overkill for kelp beds.lol
Thanks! |

I personally have a hds 5 on my boat and got the wifi hot spot from lowrance and use my ipad as the head unit so I paid $500 for what other people spend 2k for. Plus I can take it where I need it on the boat haha. The life proof waterproof case gives me the peace of mind...

I purchased the nema kit and the wifi kit from lowrance with that I can tether any app supported device within 100 ft to the network and remotely control my hds. Now that lets me have a iPad sized unit which is about the same as the hds12 that's $2-3000 and I only paid a fraction of that.
