Good length, however I think for the money you could find a kayak made by a more reputable company. The design and layout of the kayaks are much better coming from companies who have been around the block once or twice .

That kayak is a very proven design. Popular on the East and gulf coasts. It is quite a few years old.

I offered him 300 and he said ok, however I didn't realize alpine is far from me and he would or didn't want to meet at mission or sd bay... So offer Him 250 he's had that thing up for sale for months...liquid logic gave this line to their sister co. Native...I believe it's pre 2007 but don't quote me on that.

Wait for another Malibu blowout sale by OEX and get yourself a GOOD kayak for that price.

Check this thread to get an idea of the prizes you can expect

I think if the guy is willing to do 300 for it you should do it. But I would thoroughly inspect it first. Just remember, a lot of popular east coast brands are made for fishing flat and skinny water. May not be the best in the surf but I think you will be fine. Looks like a sweet ride.

Met a couple dudes on the water in LB the other day. They paddled out to the breakwater with Chris and I. They haul ass but got kind of squirrelly in the rough water on the outside of the wall. Seemed pretty legit tho.

What William said makes allot of sense. I would try to find a few reviews of anglers that fish our waters. If you can't locate a positive one. There is a reason for it.

It's a good kayak for what it is. If you want to do lots of surf launching I'd look elsewhere. I have a Native Watercraft Manta 14 and I love it, but not for surf launching. The scupper holes are really small, so water clears the deck really slowly. And, there's very little inside storage. The hatches are tiny and the bow hatch would be a bitch to use on the water. So, if you don't plan on lots of surf launching and can get it for $300 or under it could be worth it.
