Went out to La Jolla today. Awesome day out on the water. Launched before sunrise. Made bait in the dark and threw a Mac on the fly line and started working my way out. About 20-30 min later boom. Hooked up to my first ever yellow tail. Another 30 min later it was on the yak. 3rd time to La Jolla and like the 6th trip ever on a yak. Couldn't be any happier. Don't have a scale but fish was 41" long and felt pretty close to 30 lbs or so.

Big time congrats on your first!
Very cool. I know I felt the exact same stoke when I picked up my first yella' from a kayak.

I saw you on the water. I was on the boat, we talked. You told us you just hooked up there. How cool... and unusual these days!
Loved your friendly attitude!!
Your stoke was contageous. I rubbed some of it off.
