LJ PM SHIFT 6-7-07
Doesn't anyone post reports any more? lol Hit the PM shift with my "old lady" It was my only way to get out last night, as I am on the Islander this weekend... j/k Actually, I was hoping to put her on a nice fish... Sloppy, windy conditions, surf was up, but crumbly... Bait in the kelp, below, FishinTrish makes bait near the kelps... We head out to the spot, about 6:45pm.... my bottom bait feels snagged on the bottom.. wait a minute it is pulling back... FISH ON! Ended up being a Firecracker WSB at 25lbs 3oz Landed around sunset... nice evening on the water, had some fresh panko WSB... Chris Last edited by Holy Mackerel; 06-08-2007 at 11:37 AM. Thanks for the report! Can't beat an evening with your gal and you get to catch fish. I'd take a firecracker wsb, hope I can get back out there soon. Good luck on the Islander trip.

It's cheating to bring the good luck charm, even if you launch her right into a set . Nice whitey.
Dogs were out in force last night. Hooked one on a weighted pornstar and he promptly took off with 150m of line. I had just spooled a new reel with new spectra so I wasn't gonna cut him off. Buttoned down and off I went on my dog sled ride. Hit about 7 or 8 mph as the stupid animal just kept going. 20 min fight before I finally managed to pop the leader. At least I got to break in the drags on the new trini. Funny, same thing happened the last time I got one of those reels, except it was a dolphin. At least there's one dog out there that might think twice before chomping on a mac. All the cuda you could want, many flying out of the air. That got old, but I found a big shiny thing underneath them. Turned into a very pleasant evening once the wind died and the surf mellowed. Good luck to all this weekend.
