6/5 PM

My brother's wife gave birth to Cooper Moyer at 8:30 this morning so it put a damper into my a.m. fishing plans. I hit the beach around 2:00 and it was a bit windy with some sneaky Waves that were looking to get me wet. I had a dry paddle out (Lucky) and bait was really easy to get out by the "half". There was some very big spanish and greenies mix in . Bait was puddling everywhere and it seemed real fishy. After being out there for an hour it got real nice and glassy. I had one bait crushed (YT) and another raked (Cuda). Around 5:00 the bait started to puddle more as the sun poked through and I saw some big boils mixed in. On my second cast....BINGO, the right kind! Took me strait into the kelp but I won the battle, you gotta love spectra! Weighed 12# on the nose, not big, but I will take it since it's my first YT since last year Back on the beach by 6:00pm.

Thanks for taking th picture Brad

Nice Job Matt!!! That plate looks good!!

Nada for me... just a slime stick....

Also, There is a Life Guard who has the kayak fishing community's number, for our driving on the beach, slow or not... I launched around 4:15pm, saw a kayak angler in a sport utility syle truck, leaving the beach to park, peeling out at the exit near the cement divider, the sand was packed, so it was probably for "fun" Just a friendly reminder to slow your roll esp this time of year... I like the easy launch, hate to jeopardize it... again just a friendly reminder...

End Thread jack... !!!!

I'll tell you one thing, I love that adrenaline rush when you can't stop them. I wish bass had a forked tail
