outback ?'s
Did /Does Hobie sell the Outback without the Mirage drive?
Are they all considered Outback SUV or is that a model like the Hank Parker Edition. Seeing a good number of mirage drives on CL for sale, how many of you have or know someone who buys an extra drive just to have it? |

With a little care, they last for ever, I think is no need have another drive, just buy the parts.

I don't think It's necessary to buy a replacement, that is Unless you can get it cheap. I vacuum seal any part that I replaced (unless it completly useless ) and stick it in my rear hatch just in case I or someone else needs it on the water.

Mirage drives end up on Craigslist for a few reasons. They are stolen, or found on the beach after someone wipes out and didn't have his leashed down.

No you can not purchase an Outback without a mirage drive, they would have to either be "found" or stolen for someone to be selling just the mirage drive.
