White Seabass Release Video
Here is the video of the release of 8600 White Seabass from last Saturday that me and greg helped out with. Thanks to Sea Lab, Hubbs and all the volunteers that helped make this possible. I will definitely be helping out way more in the future. Hopefully it'll make a difference someday. I encourage anybody that has the time to help out with the program anyway they can every little bit helps!
Enjoy the video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bI6zlubR7So

Wow! That's a lot of fish. How long does an operation like this take? I would love to get involved if there is one in SD.

For those interested in volunteering in the San Diego area, there are two growout facilities run by the San Diego Oceans Foundation. The big one I built while I was president of the foundation - it's located at the foot of Grape Street Pier in SD bay. There is also a smaller pen that occupies a slip in the Mission Bay Marina in Quivera Basin.
Even though I'm retired out from the foundation I still like to help promote it, and the WSB facilities are near and dear to my heart... http://sdof.org/programs/collaborati...s-restoration/ |

The website says they have released over 1,000,000 White Seabass.
Hope the sea lions and seal aren't having a fest and a lot of these make it to adulthood. |
