Ahh the weekly Oarfish thread...

Where's BWE's resident Oarfish expert, to de-mystify all this?

Maybe his copy/paste function is inoperative

Well......based on my comprehensive research of the data banks only accessible to the elite special forces, ex navy seal, inner circle, shark catchers club, I can easily shed some light on this matter.

The above referenced creature is part of the bigussus assus fisshhhuus. The family of these creatures originates in the northern parts of the underground system of lakes in southern Sea of Japan. I used to dive there when I was younger. However, since I was free diving I was only able to get to about 1200 feet below the surface.

......ohhhh where was I at?

Excuse me, there is a supermodel with a stack of peer reviewed journals at the door. Gotta go.

back to the lab Matt!!!

Figures that supermodel with a stack of peer reviewed journals at the door would keep us from getting the in depth analysis that Matt usually brings to the board. Matt was just starting to develop an emotional connection to the oarfish that washed up in Catalina when another one washed up on the mainland. Hopefully now Matt can concentrate on one oarfish and the tissue samples that he recently collected. Tests in the next 24 hours should reveal if there is any connection to the Fukushima Radiation Leak....

Sad truth #27:

After any unusual event, the first person to get on TV predicting it presages a major disaster is the winner. Nobody will remember when nothing happens, but the sage will be lauded to high heaven if something does. (If he/she is ever confronted about nothing happening, he/she need only smile enigmatically and say "Yet.")
