25 mile kayak trip!
8 of us met up for a trip from Pensacola pier to Navarre pier. its 17 miles straight line, we headed out 2.5 miles to 65 feet of water and trolled duster rigs with cigar minnows and also deep diving crank baits. We caught kings and spanish mac as expected and a guy from Alaska, Terry, got his first ever Cobia! it came in at 36", 3" past the legal mark. He's eating good tonight!
about 2/3 way we had to hit the beach for some rudder repairs on another yak, ate lunch then launched again and finished the trip. Awesome group of guys and one of them got some video along the way. here's 4 of us with some kings and large spanish. from left to right thats Chris, Matt, Mika (not sure how to spell) and myself on the end. Matt with his first ever King! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=26nFu...ature=youtu.be Terry's cobia fight, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jUipA...ature=youtu.be landed http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jUipA...ature=youtu.be some sloppy weather, perfect for Kings! i think every one of us got slammed when the storm hit. it only lasted a couple hours and we didn't get to fish the whole thing do to a yak needing repairs. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tMNqL...ature=youtu.be the beach we ate at. saw a sea turtle in the skinny, looking for a place to get out at and lots of pompano in the waves. super deep just outside the breakers as well. looks like a shark spot to me. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wx0ts...ature=youtu.be Chris, showing how to land a spanish. haha http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature...&v=U_QciNI_fPs

Sounds like you guys had a good time. I have no idea where those locations are. You said the Corbina was 3inches above legal. They have to be 33 inches?
