Kelp clips

Does anyone have advise on a good brand of kelp clip and where to find one and/or how to make one? Pics would be greatly appreciated. Just a simple explination of such device would be good for me as well tho... I tried to tie kelp to my side handles today without success....

I hope my ignorance on this isn't to amusing. I'm honestly not sure what a kelp clip is but would have liked to use the kelp today to stop me from drifting. I was going to tie on some 40# and a 4/0 hook to my handle as a solution but opted to use my anchor in open water away from the kelp instead. I have a lot to learn!!!!

Go to oex and buy one, i dont think they are too expensive. You need an anchor trolley too. With that you can anchor to the front or back.

I have an anchor trolley ful-rac.. I got familiar with using it today and found it very effective. I'll go to OEX tomorrow morning if they're open! Thank you for the response!!

get a D-ring. tie and overhand in the kelp to make a loop then clip the D-ring to it. you can also make one with a float. paint it orange or yellow so you can see it and unclip then go back to your spot.

i had cleats on my yak and would just wrap the kelp around one.

I use one of these with a 3 foot section of para-cord attached to it and then a loop on the end of the para-cord that clips into my anchor trolley. Works great.
