At least it was short.
The day that is. Fished Newport this morning, and it was bad. Launched at 7:45, in by 11:30. Pretty much no current even though it was supposed to be a 3' swing. Water temp was up a tad, 65º. Air was chilly with clouds and a bit of south wind.
Fished all the usual areas, plus the bait barge and some docks I haven't hit in years. Fished all the usual baits. What did I get? Nada. Nothing. Zip. Don't remember a day where I haven't gotten at least a lizard. I had 4 bites all morning. But, at least I didn't spend a lot of time doing it. I would've left earlier, but I was optimistic I could get something, eventually. I think I need to trip to San Diego.

Bummer on the blank Ed. Both M.B. and S.D.bays are biting really well right now. Time to drag the Landwhale down south.

I just realized that I made this trip and hour longer than it was. I launched at 8:45.
