La Jolla 8-4
Went out early. This is reallly the first time ive ever just solely focused on catching a yellowtail. Got to the launch around 330 on the water by 4. Super easy launch, went to the squid boat got some advice from another kayaker out there made some squirts. Started soaking bait at sunrise. The squid was being eaten up by huge mackerel. Moved a couple spots. Tried flylining a normal size mack and soaking squid. Nothing wanted to play today off the water at 1. Came home empty handed, but its ok it was a beautiful day lots of sea life and got to see a Mola get half its body out of the water chasing bait. I deffinately need to get out there more and learn the grounds better.

Thanks for the report and better luck next time. Each trip is one step closer to catching the big one! I'll go soak some bait tomorrow and see if they are going to be more playful than today.
