Newport 7/8 5:30pm
Hit the water at 5:30 and paddled out to the bait barge. Was thinking about heading out, but a heavy offshore wind convinced me to stay inside. I drug around a dead squid for an hour or so with no luck, the current and wind kept pushing me into the rocks, 'I gotta get an anchor.'
Headed in to my honey hole and it produced several perch. I didn't hook any bass and the ever elusive halibut has managed to survive again. I am pretty sure he was close, cuz I could hear him laughing at me. All fish were let go and I have come to the conclusion that if I were forced to fish for a living I would be skinny. I would be happy, but I would be skinny. Off the water at 8:30 and ate the salmon from the grocery store. |
