For Pop!!!
Last summer I built my dad a rod for Father's Day. It was a Marine Corps rod with a few decals and my Iraq/ Afghan campaign ribbons wrapped onto it. This year I decided to build him another one, but this time one to represent my brother. This way every time he goes fishing he will be thinking of us and everyone else out there who has served their country proudly. I hope you guys like the rod. Thanks to everyone else on the site who is still in the services.
There is a pic from the USMC rod last year as well.

That looks awesome! I have been planning to build a Navy themed rod for my father as well. Guess its time I finally do it.

One of the most thoughtful gifts I've seen in a long time.
I'm sure those rods will start up many conversations in which your dad will get a chance to brag about his boys. |
