legal halibut on easter NPH ''on the fly''

Whoohoo! Nice!!

I was out throwing the fly off the surf in Pacific Beach in hopes for a halibut, but tons of bait in the water, and dozens of sea lions meant no fish to be caught.

I caught 5 halibut friday night one legal four shorts so their out there........

WTG! I need to try fly fishing from my yak. I haven't had much luck on the fly in the past. Maybe I'll dust my 8wt off and take it with me this weekend

Nice Joe. This is Todd, from SD. I've never seen a halibut caught on a fly. Were you in really shallow water.
