Welp after spending a couple hours at lake murray yesterday fishing crawdads and getting skunked I gave LJ a shot this morning. Launched at 5am this morning headed strait to the pier. Tons of 11" skinny greenback mac's with a few spanish and 6" greenbacks mixed in. I made a 1/2 dozen baits and headed out. Trolled two spanish 1-high and 1-low out across the canyon staying to the north with the birds but no love. I completed a large loop and finished along the kelp for 1-calico on a plastic. Water was flat and seemed a couple degs. colder with a slight current running south. I was off the water at 11am.

Slow day for me too… Around 11:00AM, we tried for rockfish at the canyon edge for no luck... A huge pack of dolphins came charging out of the canyon, with a bunch of birds on them... I put the continuous shutter mode on my camera to work:

Thanks for the report Steve. I hurt my back so kayaking was out of the question on Monday so I got a coffee and headed down to my old stomping grounds, Santee Lakes. Water was still cold and really dirty. I manage two bass and this was my biggest at around 3#. I've pulled my biggest Largemouth out of lake 4...9# 2oz.
