transducer mounting help
Hey guys, I have a rather uncommon kayak, a perception sport caster 12.5 and had just put on a humminbird piranhamax fishfinder on it with a suction cup transducer mount on the side that I pop on and off when I load and unload. Its been working pretty solid so far but I am looking to do a more permanent installation of the transducer but am unsure of my options/limits. I have a tendency to mount the suction cup at a slight angle, and the suction cup pops off from time to time. Should have some pictures to help out visually in the near future. But for now any suggestions? Thanks

Thanks for he help. Im leaning towards the hull mounted transducer with the goop but am curious what that does to the water temp reading, as well as the quality change of readings. Thanks

I have a cuda ff and when I went from in hull to wet mount I noticed a big improvement on the temp and the depth readings. However my depth readings are off about 3 feet. I have reset the ff numerious times but still the same 3 feet, must be a bad ducer but it works for me.

I figured as much. Ive heard people swaring by it and people who absolutely hated it. At a crossroads right now

yes reset it to 0 still off. My pool is 8 feet I tape measured from the yak to the bottom and its 8 1/2 deep but ff reads 11 1/2 not a big deal except I had to set the shallow alarm to 7 feet to protect the mirage drive.
