DP 2-4-13
Hit DP around 6:30 this a.m. Foggy, with 6 ft. swells. No livewell for the Revo 11 so I took my favorite Hammer plastics and headed to the pipe. Hooked up immediately and landed 3 calicos, one a nice legal. Started to get nauseous from the swells (I know, not very manly) and headed to just outside the breakwater. Got some very nice sandys and few kelp bass. Caught all on a green/red 4" hammer. My best day out ever. Saw only one other yaker early on, he was headed out looking for threshers.
I've fished the same places and lures before and got the stripe. Today the bite was on. Got off the water about 11 am as the fog moved back in. |
