Sold New Lowrance Elite 5 DSI $350 OBO
I picked up a Elite 5 DSI a few weeks ago and decided to change setups. It has been used once and is in new condition. I have the box, all papers, receipt and a scupper mount for it. I modifed the transom mount to be used as a scupper mount, so the original scupper mount is untouched. Also includes a neoprene screen cover. DSI/GPS unit. The unit works great, just decided to go another route. $350 OBO
I'll post pictures this evening. SOLD Last edited by Lipripper92592; 01-28-2013 at 03:04 PM. Reason: Sold |

I'm looking at the HDS 5 gen 2 units. The X 13 still has the Elite 4 on it, the DSI unit was on my Trident 15. If I was planning on fishing in zones less than 60' I would keep the DSI unit in a heartbeat. But when your zones are more than 80', you loose quite a bit of resolution, which makes making out the structure and fish ...well...less than ideal. I set up next to a lobster trap in about 80' feet of water, and you could barely follow the line down. Bait resolution is great....you can see each individual fish, not just a ball. My problem is user error, not enough research before picking the ideal unit for the zones I fish. I spent too much time on my last trip adjusting the depth zone, the scale is in 10' zones up to 200'.
