LJ 03/02 am
Got on the water about 5:45am, lots of chop, and a moderate amount of wind spashing water around but still manageable. About 9am the wind died down. Tried Yoyoing a blue/white iron until my arms nearly fell off, for only 1 Bonita (15"), a sculpin and an oversized mack. I was bit hard only once and had a nice ride going for about 30 seconds when just like that it was gonzo! Very much a bummer. Didn't want to post any pics because nothing to brag about. Next time!

I always declare it to have been a shark or BSB when that happens. Makes me feel better.
I was gonna go this morning but forgot to turn on the alarm after setting it. Oh well. Any light boats out?

Thats what I said to myself about ten minutes later" was probably a shark" made me feel a little better, not really.
Did see about 8 or 10 other kayakers, 2 PBers, didn't see anyone with anything or any hookups but then again I didn't jump into anyones "spot", just my own! all the spots were there for the takin'. |

. . . I have been seeing loads of gulls flying NW across WindanSea Beach in the recent evenings, again they were heading out for the canyon at sunset tonight. Assuming that means what I think that means. . . . .

Leopard Shark, 3 Bass, 2 Jack Smelt, 1 Mac
Nice talkin with you today ratdog.
I casted for a few solid hours to no avail. I did get a thrill though when the mac was picked up by a 5ft Leopard Shark. All fish released cept for the mac that was eaten.
