El Capitan Lake

I sit possible to kayak to the North end of El Capitan lake on an XFactor? I want to really nail the crappie this year and since I have never paddled this beast, I am not sure if it is possible. I found a website that stated you can paddle anywhere from 8 -22 miles round trip to reach the North end depending on the water levels at the lake. Let's say I paddle at an average rate of 2 mph. That could be four hours of paddling in the best case scenario. Just curious if anyone has tried it.

That is a big lake.

We once rented a small motor boat on that lake and went to the far end.

Coming back we where late to return the boat as the headwind picked up and slowed us down to a crawl. The wind could make it a very long and hard day. Check the weather for the wind forecast.
