Dana Point Saturday looking for halibut anyone???
Just got the ok. I'll be heading to DP Saturday morning looking to refine my skills for halibut. Picking up a couple flashers to give them a try again. Can anyone give a recommendation on how to rig them up so I don't get twist. I bought the bounce ball kit before and it always got twisted up, so I'm going to go with a lot smaller flasher this time and see if I can perfect this.
Also is anyone interested in joining me. Plann to fish the harbor and Dohoney beach area south. Last edited by dc1983; 11-27-2012 at 07:58 PM. |

Good luck. For the flashers, ive never used them but you have to always keep moving to keep them from tangling up. And keep em at about 1mph constantly unless your going to get snagged on a rock pile or something speed up to get the rig higher in the water column or reel in. Im new with this stuff too but i have a rig i havnt tried out yet. Let us know how you do.
