Pretty wet launch for me this morning. Had to plow through a clean up wave which had me submerged from the neck down. Who needs coffee when you got that to wake you up! Anyway, started out making bait at around gray light. Was able to make plenty of the good kind along with a few pesky macks and cudas. After my fill I sent one down to the bottom. Wasn't long before a skiff anchored up to block my drift. Decided to head north to get away from the floatilla as it looked relatively quiet anyway. Well the move payed off. Had a bait get raked but couldn't get a solid connection. Paddled back and sent another down where I missed it. Instant hook up with the moss kind. It went 28# on the digi. Back home in time for some football.

Nice man 28 pounds is not too shabby. Whats all that squid doing in the first pic? Do you just let your bait swim in the yak?

Back in time for football! At least your priorities are straight! :-)
What does the aft-end of the yak look-like? The bow-end looks pretty minimalist - I don't like to carry too much equipment either. |

Congrats on the fish! Always nice to hook up early and head in early!

Minimalist represent! 2 flush mounts behind the seat, a dry sack, a tackle tray, and another fish if I'm lucky enough. Looking to get one of those seats or packs with rocket launchers and pockets to free up even more space.
