White Sharks
I spent some time with them on a 5 day trip to Guadalupe. Captain claims one was 23 feet?
Beautiful fish and seemed smart and careful. Took quite a bit to get them to eat a tuna head, not crazy aggresive like on T.V. Some guys freedive with them...That's a little over the top. However, there are always exceptions like that lady in a Yak at Catalina a few years back.... |

No footage that day of my encounter. I wasn't even thinking about footage...I just kept on repeating to myself as he was circling me, "This can't be happening" over and over again. And yes... positive ID Great White! Many of the divers have been seen them more and more lately. I went fishing in La jolla last friday but not alone...we came back early. the size of the GW really shocked me!! Take a buddy with you if you can..and try not to stay out too late. for a while anyways. BTW, this is NO JOKE! Last edited by driftwood; 08-14-2012 at 03:32 PM. |

Wow, yeah I'm sure we would all be thinking the same. I'm sure you just sat still and watched and waited hoping it would not nudge or chew on your yak Hopefully you got your once in a lifetime encounter in.....whose next?
