After months & months of hooking & fighting these beautiful sea creatures, I finally got the chance to land one. And man, AINT SHE A BEAUT?!

Thanks to my girl for getting me a new fishing hat. The moment I hooked up, the wind died off, and the sun was beaming down at 91°, so my new hat kept me safe from those powerful sun rays.

Fight time: 40mins.
Rod & Reel setup: CalStar 800MH, Avet MXJ w/30lb mono + 100lb leader.
Bait: Live Sardine.
Species: 7'0" EST.60lbs.
Location: Pacific Ocean.

This look is the 'WTF is going here' look

This one is the 'This is not looking good' look

This is is the 'Things are definitely not looking good' look
