First report
Well heres my first fish report... Launched from Del Mar Marina this morning around 0645. Paddled down the harbor using 3 inch gulp trying to pick up a few bass and flatties. Well about 0800 the lizards came out to play. cutting tails off my gulp one after another. after awhile I got tired of it and paddled across the harbor to the rock hazard floats infront of oceanside harbor. Rigged up a texas rig with a 4 inch white swim bait and started dragging it across the bottom. Around 1000 i caught my first Spotty one after another. All averaging around 3lbs. Soon I started hooking into a few calicos. All in all a good first Yak fishing trip. Im still learning the ropes so Im sure there will be more to come. Need to learn how to make bait. Any suggestions?

great job on del mar. Alright when you go to the boat launch go straight across and drift the bottom been catching Halibut there lately. Then take a left and go way out the green floater where you see all the boats and there mom. Drift back down a lot of bait rays and dog fish chill right there. Did you get snag a lot down by the danger rock area?
